The Lightning Strikes are a 3 piece band from Kingswinford, Dudley.
The band released an album, "Death is swallowed up in victory", in February 2008, The album consisted of 11 songs - some uplifting with an upbeat sound and others with lyrics that were more mellow and moving. Some tracks talked about situations, relationships, etc, that the band have been through, and other tracks talk about the bands beliefs and faith.
After spending the latter part of 2009 writing new material and showcasing lots of it at Bar South in their home town, the band are now ready to record some new tracks that will be released over two, maybe three EP's. These EP's will also contain live versions of tracks that were recorded previously on their first album.
The band will also have a full gig schedule for 2009 which will include venues all over the West Mids and the UK, after spending the latter part of 09 playing gigs mainly in their home town Kingswinford.
