LYRICS

 THIEF IN THE NIGHT
Stood on the hill with you
As the daylight turns to night
I saw the greatness of the universe
The moon that turned to red

I saw the stars fall from the sky
I saw the fear in your eyes
The heavens disappeared like a scroll
Lightning flashed from east to west

All I could think was where were you?
All I could think was did you ever know?
Did I ever tell you?
Where would you go from tonight?

You came like a thief in the night
You came like a thief in the night
You came like a thief in the night
In the twinkling of an eye

WHEN I LET YOU DOWN
I want to know why you still love me when all I do is let you down
I want to know why you care for me when all I do is let you down
I want to know why you save me life when all I do is let you down
I want to know why you’re by my side when all I do is let you down

GREAT FRIDAY
Sitting in that room on that Friday afternoon
With me are my friends and my new family
Though it’s a time of grief it’s a time to be happyt
Thought the way was hard it’s the way it had to be

Death is swallowed up in victory
Death is swallowed up in victory

Trying hard to fight the tears that came with that day
Then I saw there was no need as you had the victory
Looking through the haze of pain I could see you had won
History had been reset your mission was complete
Time stood still on that day and nature held its breath
The fall was reversed and winter died a death
Marched into hell and took away each key
Now because of this death has no hold on me

SMILING FACE
When I see you there my hands start to shake
I don’t know what to say, I don’t know how to act
I can’t wait for tomorrow to see you on your way
My heart is skips a beat when I see you there
Driving through the town hoping to see you there
Working in the shop praying that you walk in

I guess you don’t know who you are or really know how I feel
I put a note through your door to see if you felt the same
Though we’re both a different kind and headed to a different place
Waiting for a text, I’m hoping that you might call
I just want you to know the way I feel for you
It seems its meant to be, I hope that you will see
The way you make me feel, you make me feel so free
Maybe one day soon you will here me sing this song
Then all will see the way that we do belong

NEARLY HOME
Flying down the dim lit road, the cold breeze on my face
I can not see the ending but I know this way leads home
It seems i'm alone on this path, in the dead hours of the night
The countryside seems a world apart from the Neon City Lights

With the cold breeze on my face, the silence of the air
That feeling in my stomach, as I know your waiting there
Thinking of the good and bad, the memories of last night
Travelling down the final straight, now I know I'm nearly home

Looking at the moonlit sky, it casts a warm glow ahead
A passer by on the other side, speeds past in a blur
With music as a soundtrack, the cold chill clears my mind
Memories of you are still to soon, but now I know i'm nearly home

TOO FEW HOURS
Lately it dosn't seem theres enough hours in the day
I'm sure this crash was coming, but so soons to hard to take
If only mintues weren't so few, I'm sure we would be here today
But trying to fit my lifetime into seven days

Now I dont know what to do, should I leave is it for the best?
Waiting on this hanging rope to see if things improve or not

Things are not so good now
Time has fled and now your gone
The past has come back to haunt me
But the futures clear, can I see?

FANTASY WORLD
If that place was real, the one seen in that film
I would take my friends and family and live there to the end
If that place was real, where dreams do come true
Everything was perfect, with a happy ending for you

But this land is fantasy, a world in peoples dreams
It's hidden in your favourite book, it takes you to that secret land
But one day I'll go somewhere, that this land cannot compare
But for now I'll settle with life the way it is

In that world the cancers cured, there's no need to say goodbye
Everyone gets a second chance to make there loved one smile
There's no pain or suffering and death can't seperate
There's no war or poverty, or reason for people to hate

YOU’RE NOT ALONE
Looking at the sky, watching clouds go by
Where did it go wrong, how did it end this way?
I wish I could turn back time and do things a different way
The days at Bewdley, the days at the sea
The Nigths we would watch a film, you were there with me
Firewall on boxing day, Maid in Manhattan is where it began

Every song, every film, every place, reminds me of you
It leaves a damp pain in my heart
I've prayed that one day we'll get another chance, but I know your gone
How I regret not appreciating you were there
Wish I could awake tomorrow and find you were here
I wish you would never go away

Oh how i miss you, your lovely smile, your gentle way
I wish I could have told you at the time
If I could turn the clock back, I would have made it work
I would tell you that you meant the world to me

But in your time of grief remember this
I am with you always, even to the end of the age
I will lead you by the peaceful streams
And comfort you in the darkest valleys
You are not alone, you are not alone

FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND
As questions go unanswered I’ve tried to understand
What little things can tell you like footprints in the sand
As I see the world around me I’ve seen the heart grow cold
Knowledge is increasing yet lies are being told

Childhood memories, they’ve sheltered me from the truth
Why is nothing simple…anymore?
It’s a dark world and I couldn’t see from fear
But I know you’re there, like footprints in the sand

Life used to go so slow, I didn’t have the slightest care
Working out all the puzzles with so much time so spare
Trying hard to make sense of everything these eyes have seen
But now I’m finding comfort from what I now believe

LIKE FIRE
Eyes blazing Like fire
Face shining like the sun
Voice thunders like rushing water
A double edged sword from your mouth

Clothes white as snow
Throme flaming with fire
Lightning from your presence
A river of fire

As I see you standing there, I know my time has come
As I see you standing there, I know my minds made up
It only takes one simple line to turn this life around
It only takes one simple line to stand on holy ground

GOD BLESS YOUR WAY
Isn’t it amazing how life changes in the space of a few weeks
Christmas eve and I was sitting alone in a church so full with peace
Looking forward to Christmas day to see your face as you opened your gifts
Wanting to spend the day with you in the light of the saviours grace
But a few weeks later your with someone and you say you love them
Whatever happened, what went wrong to the love that we had?

But now I’m going to look to you as your love it never ends
Nothing can stop your love for me, nothing in life or death
I know that you’ll be there every step of my life
You will never change your way, you’ll be there to the end

Thinking of the good times we had the places that we went
The times when we were young and free with our whole lifes ahead
Now that you have gone away, did our love count for anything?
How could a life change so much in less then sixteen weeks
Though your heart as changed and you may not think of me
I still hope that you’re ok and God Blesses your way
