The Lightning Strikes are a 3 piece band from Kingswinford, Dudley.  The band aim to create uplifting and moving music and make every effort when performing to give the crowd a great night of entertainment.

Influences of theirs are Joy Division, British Sea Power, u2, Coldplay, The Verve, Stereophonics, Snow Patrol, Oasis, New Radicals and many other great bands. 

The band released their debut album "Death is swallowed up in victory" in February 2008,  The album consists of 11 songs - some that are uplifting with an upbeat sound and others with lyrics that are more mellow and moving. Some of the tracks talk about situations, relationships, etc, that the band have been through, and some tracks talk about the bands beliefs and christian faith.

The Lightning Strikes are now concentrating on promoting their debut album and playing across as much of the UK as possible. They are also writing and rehearsing new material for a second album which they are hoping to release in 2009.
