8th Aug 2008 Just a quick update on things. We are currently writing lots of new material and working towards a second album sometime in the future. We have played regulary throughout May, June and July and we would like to thank everyone who has been to see us. We're playing a week tonight (15th Aug) at Katie Fitzgerald's in Stourbridge. It's just £2 to get in and the we're on from 9pm for 30 mins, pop along as we would love to see you. Finally, Neil our bassist who also is promoting across the West Midlands with Steel Cross Promotions is hoping to set up a gig later this year in Northern Ireland....The Lightning Strikes go international!!! :-)
13th May 2008 Just to let you know that this Saturday we’re at Varsity in Wolverhampton. The first band are on at 8pm and tickets are £4 each and you must be 18 or over to get in. We should be playing a set of around 30 minutes and will be playing 3 or 4 tracks that are planned for the next album. Please get along and support us if you can.
Secondly, we have two new video’s on our myspace site that were recorded when we played at The Rock Café in March. These were recorded by a professional camera crew and really great quality. The two tracks are “When I Let You Down” and “Euphoria” which is a brand new track. 22nd March 2008 - We have sent out albums to various radio stations and have been encouraged by the responses. Quite a few of stations have added some of the tracks onto the playlist for their shows. The station Development officer at one station said "First of all can I congratulate you on a very original album. Lots of albums come across my desk and this one was unique in my opinion. Really did enjoy listening to it" We have also added quite a few shows to our dates section, please have a look and come along and see us one night, it would be great to see you. Finally, we now have a new guestbook, we would appreciate it if you left us a comment. See you all soon.
18th Feb 2008 - ALBUM RELEASED TODAY - Only £5.99!!!! - Our 11 track debut album, "Death is swallowed up in victory" is available to buy from today. Please click HERE to purchase a copy. They are just £5.99 each. Secondly, we are playing at the Rock Cafe on Sunday the 30th of March at 7.30pm. We are one of four bands playing and certain tracks from each band will be recorded and put onto DVD. Two of our tracks will also be played live on 102.5fm The Bridge. Please let us know if you want a ticket and we will get one reserved for you. They are £5 each.
26th January 2008 - Saturday Nite Live at Tipton went really well, it was a top night and Sunday Rose were brilliant opening up for us. You can catch clips of our performance at www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fu3ahy43sYI Secondly, our artwork for our debut album has been approved and the Master Disc is being created as we speak. The disc and artwork will be sent on Monday and we should have copies of the album back in 10 - 14 days. You will be able to buy the album online very soon and it will be posted right to your doorstop.
8th January 2008 - We have two gigs coming up over January and February. The first is at Tipton Family Church (Saturday Nite Live) on Sat 19th Jan @ 7pm. Its £2 if you buy the tickets in advance (see us) or £3 on the door. Ourselves, Sarcastic Comment, The ISG and Ignited will all be playing.
Finally, our first album Death is swallowed up in victory has now been recorded. Luke from LS Studio's is currently mixing the album and hopefully it should be available to buy from March this year.
